2012-2013 school year.

This year was great, I see an improvement in my English even though I don’t speak too much. I am very glad this year is finally done, so let’s go for the next, this year has given me much happiness not just in school but in my whole environment, all around me seem like have change. I have the same friends from the last year which is really cool, I am going to miss them much this summer.

My friends at work and family have told me I have a better English, it may not be a better English it might be that I just started to talk a little bit more, but anyway it is a positive change, I feel more comfortable when I speak English, as consequence I have more friends, it is very interesting what you can learn talking to people from different culture, but English is always a big obstacle. Learning English has given me many things including more money, because now I can communicate with my boss or workmates.

My environment has been just great, people around me were very nice to me I met new people, and I got a stronger relationship with people I already knew, this year was just awesome, my grades were not really good but I was not bad at all, what I didn’t like about this year were some classes they were really bored, I hope next year teacher make it more interesting.

I am very lucky at having the same friends from last year, it made it easier for me, because since I stared this year I already had who to talk with, I met couple new people they are okay. I am waiting for next year, I can’t wait to meet new people, I have always liked to me new people, and this country is a good place for it, new people are always coming from different parts of the world.

I am excited about next year, because it is my last year at school, I want to see what the future has for me, I would like to learn different things, not just at school, but at my work. I have to admit I miss my family in my country and I don’t really like to live here, but sometimes we don’t have choices.

My Favorite Athlete

             My Favorite Athlete

Miguel Abad (Sonora, Mexico, October 12, 1992) is a soccer player, Miguel has been awarded many trophies throughout his young life as medium fielder and attacking forward in different leagues and competitions. In someway or another his story is a little bit sad, because he doesn’t play anymore.

Miguel is one of the best players in this town: he started to play when he was 12 years old for his elementary school. At that time he didn’t have any good skill he learned a couple skills in middle school hen he met Juan Hernandez. Miguel took him as his first role model and the next year he decided to change school, because of racism. Before he left the school, he scored 14 goals in his last game for that school.

In his new school everything changed. He met soccer players with amazing skills and he put much more effort for it so he was elected to play on the team. He scored 15 goals, setting in third place. When he came back to his town, he played in some tournaments where he won many awards, surpassing the high scorer, Hype Ganzalaz.

In June 2009, he moved to the United States of America. Surprisingly, his skills improved enough to find a team, and he started to play. Sadly, a month later, he started to work, leaving soccer completely. Three years later, he began to play again, but he had lost conditioning for running, his skills, and dribbling. Yet,  three teams ask him to join their teams anyway, he had no time to train.

What I like most about this player is that he is very intelligent, and he not only has good skills, but creates good plays. He knows how and where to send the ball to his peers, and he was used to training a lot. He never surrendered or despaired easily on the field as more people do when they are loosing a game. One of the other interesting things I like about him is that he learned quickly from his rivals. In that way, he can face them and beat them up. Also, when his rivals learned form him, he came up with new skills.

He is a great player I guess he is going to play again this season. Hopefully he will reach the level he had before, and why not ever surpass Hype again, who came to the United States in 2010, and had not stop of scoring for his team.
